PRINCIPAL CONSULTANT-Erin k. Flood

I am an impact-driven, systems-oriented consultant and organizational leader with 10+ years helping nonprofits, government, and cross-sector organizations grow stronger, smarter, and more mission-aligned. Since 2013, I have done independent advisory work under the name Insights for Social Good, helping organizations become effective, stable, and efficient, while keeping their vision and values intact.

This work is grounded in my experience as a nonprofit executive, having led organizations through growth, stabilization, and turnaround as an Executive Director and senior leader across survivor services, workforce development, reentry, food justice, and the arts. 

Insights for Social Good operates as a light, ongoing practice, taken on selectively between full-time executive roles and, on a limited basis, alongside them, allowing me to stay engaged in hands-on capacity-building work throughout my career.

I bring a human-centered approach to change, partnering with people and organizations to navigate challenges, amplify strengths, and advance equity. By blending systems thinking, evidence-informed problem-solving, and compassionate leadership, I help build organizations that are resilient, effective, and mission-aligned.

A global perspective shapes my work: nearly a decade spent designing footwear lines and managing international manufacturing partnerships across Europe, Brazil, China, and India gave me an early, hands-on education in cross-cultural collaboration and complex systems, well before a deliberate pivot to nonprofit leadership.  

After many years living and working in Los Angeles, I now live in New England. When I'm not working, I'm an avid gardener, make art, run, read poetry, and enjoy life with my partner, Tim, our cat Aonghas, and our dog Lewis.
